Am I required to report a potential violation under this policy?

Some employees are required to report any known or suspected violations. These are faculty and staff members with the authority to correct a problem, and they are defined as “responsible employees.”

In general, faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to report allegations of gender discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking to the Title IX Coordinator to maximize the school’s ability to investigate and potentially address and eliminate the misconduct.

Any employee that reports or has knowledge of a suspected violation should not attempt to determine if the harassment or violence did occur, or if a hostile environment is being created.
